NYSSEF ISEF Fairs:
Please NOTE: Unless prohibited in writing by your regional fair, up to 10 projects can participate in NYSSEF ISEF 2026/school.

NYSSEF ISEF 2026 will be held in a hybrid format.
1. Initial Teacher and Student Registration must be completed by January 23, 2026, 5 PM
2. Round 1 - Video Presentation (Virtual + Paperwork); due January 30, 2026, 8 PM
3. Round 2 - New York Hall of Science (in-person); March 30, 2026


Top students will be named as Regeneron ISEF 2026 finalists and attend Regeneron ISEF 2026 in person.

Initial NYSSEF ISEF registration opens on December 08, 2025, and closes on January 23, 2026.

Round 1 - Presentation video, paper, and paperwork uploads are due January 30, 2026, 5 PM. See your school liaison for details (school districts should pay for student participation).
Failure to upload these materials by Jan. 30, 2026, will result in Failing To Qualify (FTQ; no refunds)! Teacher/Liaison Check and review - by January 30, 2026 - 5 PM. Please don't wait until the last day to upload the video and paperwork!!

After initial registration closes, student participant payments should be submitted via the school district and teacher liaison. Liaisons should clarify any project and/or video upload questions. Thank you for your patience.

NYSSEF Andromeda/Broadcom divisions are running at Jericho High  School, Date - TBA. Please NOTE: Up to 10 projects can participate in NYSSEF Andromeda and up to 10 for the Thermo-Fisher competitions!!

About NYSSEF

NYSSEF is the ISEF/Society for Science-affiliated state fair for New York. The NYSSEF ISEF is the world’s preeminent international science project competition for students in 9th through 12th grades. NYSSEF ISEF brings together students, teachers, scientific researchers, corporate executives, and government officials from around the world. Students compete for over $8 million in scholarships, tuition grants, scientific equipment, and scientific trips. The top projects from the ISEF Division of NYSSEF will represent the State of New York at the 2026 ISEF in Phoenix, AZ.
